How to create and animate a character using Midjourney + ArtificialStudio

In this tutorial you will learn how to create images with Midjourney and then turn them into video using ArtificialStudio online. It’s super simple.

First we need to create the images of any character we want. To do that we will go to the official Midjourney page or to their Discord channel.

Once there we will create a character to then animate with ArtificialStudio, in this case we will use a monk, the prompt is: “Shaolin monk in the top of a mountain looking at the sunset”

We will also use the new “Style Reference” feature which is represented as “ — -sref URL” with this you can use any image as a style parameter. But there is an even more amazing way to use this new tool and it is the “Style Reference Seeds”, in simple terms it works like this: if after “--sref” you put a bunch of random numbers, it will give you a particular style. If you like it, then you will have discovered an interesting style parameter. That’s what we will do here.

After the prompt you will add one of the following references: “--sref 80910424”, “--sref 233923788” or “--sref 1447004346”. You will get results like these:

The first style is more realistic, cinematic, with a very detailed and dynamic visual approach. The second is based on the style of comic or anime illustrations, and the last one with brighter colors, is based on oil painting.

Now it’s time to use these images in an online AI video generator, in this guide we will show you how.

Artificial Studio has more than 40 AI tools to create video, image, music, audio and text. There are great tools to animate videos created from a written prompt, but here you will need to animate images, so you can enter Minimax: Image to Video or Kling 1.0: Image to Video. For this example we will use the first one.

We’ll use the image we liked the most, upload it to the left side, which has the “Change File” button and a prompt below it showing what the character is doing. Then, click on the blue “Generate video” button and the result will appear on the right.

There, you’ll be asked to register if you haven’t already. The first time, you’ll be given 15 credits that you can use to try out the platform, since an average creation costs 1–5 credits. Then, you can buy 1000 credits in Artificial Studio for just $12.

This is the result:
